Africa Updates and More

Well, I just thought I would update you all on some of the stuff God has been doing and where He is leading me next. 

First off I just got to tell you that me and my friend Alanna have all the money needed for our mission's trip to Africa! Praise God. God gave me a total of $4,503.80. And that is not one penny from my pocket just like I asked God to do. By Jesus me and Alanna raised $8,248.80 since the first week in April until June 26- you are talking approximately 80 days! So praise Jesus!!! I knew He could do it. Now I am just waiting for Him to give me $5,000 to give to the orphans in Africa. Our trip is only 24 days away. It starts July 31 until August 13. Pray pray pray please. I know God is just gonna pour out His Kingdom through us in mighty ways!

So what have I been doing this summer? Well being a preschool teacher at Headstart I am laid off during the summer and go on unemployment. With this free time I have been preparing for Africa, spending time with family, enjoying legit Jesus conversations with friends, painting a mural on my wall, learning to play the mandolin, and basically enjoying myself and doing things I have not had time to do. O it is such a blessing from God to have my fast paced life slow down a bit and enjoy His beautiful creation, have unlimited time to pray, read a good book, watch a fun movie, and so much more. I must admit at moments I have felt like I have too much time on my hands and then God presents me with a creative idea like serving someone, etc. I have also been preparing to go back to college. God has made it clear to me that I am to pursue my Bachelor's in Early Childhood so I can shine further to my preschoolers and the education world. I am very excited about this and trusting that God has enough grace for me to do full time work as a preschool teacher and go to school at the same time. Nothing like shining Jesus in the world! O yeah! We can do all things through Him who gives us the strength and the power.

I will say a huge way God has blessed me this summer is through people. I have always enjoyed my private times with God and still always do, but lately He has also been showing me a new glory through friendships and conversations. I am truly experiencing Him off of His people. I am so glad His love is made complete among us as scripture says. There is nothing quite like enjoying Jesus' presence off a unique reflection of Himself. Thank you Jesus for friends and heavenly fellowship. And if you haven't received much heavenly fellowship lately just trust Jesus, ask Him, be the friend, and be expecting it. There was a time when it was mainly just me and God, but He blessed me in that and gave me hope and strength and encouraged me to be who I wanted others to be to me. It truly is better to give then to receive. And when everyone does that it is heaven on earth. God bless you all. :) And thank you for any prayers you've made for Africa.
